This weeks reading in praxis discusses the modern day use of communication. Over the last decade multimedia has become a huge outlet for rhetoric text.  Praxis touches on the topic of younger generations and the use of multimedia such as email, social media and text. Younger generations prefer the use of oral, written and visual text. Younger generations do not prefer traditional news outlets/ect... praxis states "This multistream, cross-platform method of communication among younger viewers/readers is a fertile forum for rhetorical analysis".  Using visual rhetoric traditional methods are implemented to produce the text/image. Symbolism, meaning, relation of images to words, potential arguments from the viewer, colors, ect.. the list goes on further of various things that must be taken into account to present visual rhetoric successfully. Praxis continues on to speak about the importance of interaction of text and image. The image can help catch attention of the reader, create an overall mood, emphasize certain reading content, and help reader to focus on the writing. In the video "A defense of Comic Sans", it addresses how the different style of type can irritate a reader or evoke different reactions. The type face comic sans is very well known and popular. The font was originally intended to be in comic books. When you look at the type face, I agree that it looks like it should be used in a comic rather than a encyclopedia. Something about the style gives off a very relaxed mood.  One thing in the video that stood out to me is the comment that comic sans helps children with dyslexia. I suffer from dyslexia and certain fonts do make it more difficult than others to read and type with. I have always like the font comic sans, honestly I have used it a lot. I would choose to use it because it is easy for me to keep my letters in the proper order and reading. For me personally I always thought it was the shape and spacing in between the letters. I liked this video it makes you think about font from a different perspective. In the video about Stranger Things the producers is focusing on the font for the shows title, and the importance it has to the show. The creators of the show used old school influences of fonts from their childhood, to help come up with the perfect font for the show. The video states they used an eerie mix of digital and physical mediums. This method help give them the raw, organic and imperfect feel they were going for. I never thought about fonts like this, so these videos were pretty cool.
